Summer 2010 ~ Part 2

We were invited to go white water rafting down the Salmon River with our good friend's the Nelson's. We had a blast (to say the least).

Eric trying to skip rocks

This is the raft that Mackenzie was on, and just moments before this flip, she decided it was time for her to get off. I was standing up at the top of the mountain taking pictures and I keep imagining if she had still been on this raft, and how I would have been in FREAKING out if I had to watch her float down the river not in a raft.

Coleman and Eric were in the next 2 pictures. Coleman loved going down the river and I wouldn't have been able to keep him from going had I even tried!

All the kids getting out to swim and there goes Coleman, jumping off the edge of the raft.

He sure loves the water!!

Eric's Aunt plans a hike every summer when the family is all in town. This year we went hiking up Mill Creek. We sure got a work out on this hike. (sorry, I just noticed I don't have any pictures on here of the acutal hike. I am not going to go back to upload them either.) lol

When we got there, we ate lunch, played in the water and enjoyed the fact that we all made it!!! ;)

On the way back down the mountain, it started raining and then it started hailing. And I am not talking just a little bit. It POURED and we were all DRENCHED! The kids cried because the hail hurt when it hit us, and I couldn't help but laugh the whole time!

Trying to all get together for a family photo. Here is Eric's mom w/ all her daughters (and a couple kids) lol

Grandma Hamm with all her grandchildren!

We take the kids to Lava Hot Springs ever summer and we LOVE it!! We sat there and watched the birds eating other peoples food. I guess they like cheetos! ha ha

Here is Coleman

And his somewhat of a backwards flip.

Here is Blake

With whatever he calls this flip. I just hope he doesn't hurt himself trying it!

All the kids LOVE these slides

Grant and Eric jumping off the highest platform. You will NEVER see me up there!

I had the opportunity to go to Boise for a few days to babysit nieces and nephews. I guess I only took 2 pictures, so here they are. They swam the whole time....

School Play

The school play was sooooo cute. It was called, "E I E I oops" Grant was a pig and Mackenzie was a sheep. Mackenzie had a solo and I will post it as soon as I figure out how. These boys seriously had a hard time wearing PINK shirts, and Grant is going to kill me for posting these pictures!!!

Out of respect for Mackenzie, I will NOT mention which one of these boys she has a crush on! lol

This would be a cute picture if the mic stand was not in front of Mackenzie's face!

Dance

I can't get the dance videos to upload, but here are some pictures of Mackenzie's dances. This was her first year in clogging and they clogged to "Shake it". And the other dance was Jazz....and I don't know the name of the song, but it was cute!!! lol

The many faces of Blake

Eric was throwing the tennis ball to Blake one day, and I was getting a kick out of the faces he was making...... He is so cute!! :)

Pictures, Pictures and more Pictures!

To say the least, we have been BUSY at our house! First of all (ok, these events are in no specific order!) but basketball has started for the kindergarten and 1st graders. Blake was super excited and Coleman was a little nervous....However, not to brag or anything, but Coleman scored 6 out of the 8 points!! Everytime he made a basket, he would look up at me to get some praise and you better believe I was giving it to him!! And then Blake made that last basket and our team WON!!
Blake has the ball and is in the Orange

Coleman is in the yellow

Next comes the 4th grade invention convention. This was a hard project to come up with, and I will spare you all the details. All I will tell you is that I got 200% (100% for both kids). Grant's was the "Break Away Slam Can". Basically it's a pringles can that breaks in the middle of the can so your hand doesn't get stuck in the can when you try to get the chips out from the bottom of the can. (Notice Grant's smile. He had just gotten his braces off!!)

This is a picture of the actual invention we had to make

Mackenzie's was the "Sweet Tooth Topper". Here was her speach. "When you put topping on your ice cream, you don't always get a taste of your favorite topping on every bite. With the Sweet Tooth Topper, you simply fill the syringe with your choice of topping, scoop up some ice cream and squirt a little topping on your ice cream before every bite."

Here is her actual invention that we had to make. See....pretty simple. (coming up with these ideas was the hard part).

The next few pictures are of our MINI kitchen remodel. ok, all we did was add more cabnets and get a new counter top. lol

This is a picture of what I had to work with for the past year. After standing over that table preparing food, my back would KILL!

Then of course, what's a new kitchen without a new faucet. (we were forced to buy one. Once again, I will spare you the details.)

This is the new addition!! (notice the new DOUBLE oven!! I even got a new Bosch dishwasher!) Happy bday to ME!

This is when everything turned SOUR! Let's just say that we had to go 3 days without any water, and we had to replace our sewer lines. NOT FUN WITH A FAMILY OF 6! I guess that is what you get when you own an old home, and you start one project and that one project just gets bigger and bigger! But hey, we had some GREAT help and we are forever thankful for those who pitched in and helped us out!!

Throw in scouts, a flat tire in the rain when Eric was at work, 2 dance classes, TWO trips to Idaho Falls, and daycare and I guess I should add that all of these events happened within the past 7 days! And it looks like this is what my life is like until school gets out in ONE MONTH! (except the flat tire part...I HOPE!)
