Our finished house!!!

We (for the most part) finished our house! WHOO HOO!!! Before I moved in, Eric tore up his upstairs and then he reframed it, and re did the electric work, then we hung insulation (which sucked), then we sheet rocked (which sucked), then we mudded and sanded (which TOTALLY SUCKED!), then we sprayed texture (ok, the bishop came and sprayed), then the fun part came in.......PAINT! Being the only girl, Mackenzie gets her own room and we painted it pink and brown. Coleman and Blake get to share a room and we had a VERY HARD time deciding what colors to paint their room so we finally decided on John Deere, so they get green and yellow! Then Grant also gets his own room and he really wanted John Deere as well. So we took a big gulp and bought the paint!!! Then we FINALLY decided on the carpet we wanted and with a little brush of paint here and there ie: THE WHOLE HOUSE, and getting the new carpet laid, here is our house!! Now keep in mind that these pictures were taken before any of the decorating was done (I am having a hard time putting a little tiny nail in our new fresh walls). Anyway........here are the pictures!!!

We still have trim to put on upstairs, curtains (I have the fabric, just gotta sit down and do it), and decorate. I actually got the kids beds all painted and set up today! We painted Grant's room white, but we still need to build his bed then we are going to paint 1 yellow stripe and 1 green stripe. So right now his mattress is on the floor and his walls are freshly painted white! Anyone is now invited to visit. We have the space!! (we just don't have anything to do here in town. You can even ask my parents. They came to visit and they discovered that one!) lol

Another one of our days here in Idaho!

The other day my girlfriend called me and told me the baby pigs were born and asked if we wanted to go see them. There were also goats that they chased and puppies they fell in love with. I forgot to grap my camera, so these pictures were taken with my phone. If any of you really know my children, you would know that Mackenzie is DEATHLY afraid of dogs..........

I am pretty sure this next pictures is when she started begging to take the puppy home!

They had to put the momma pig in this cage. When she was feeding her babies, she was pacing and steped on 5 of them and killed them. Leaving her only 4 babies alive!

Coleman was afraid to hold them because they were SO LOUD! All he did was pet one and it still scared him.......enough to cry!

If you look at this pig, you can see that it's tongue is sticking out. This must have been when it was pooping on her hand and coat!

No poop on Grant!

These pictures were taken a few days ago. My friend's daughter has her own pony and it looks like a zebra. The kids enjoyed going for a ride! (I can't get the picture of Coleman down here with the rest of the horse pictures without starting all the way over, so that is why it's up at the top of this post!)

That is all for now. My house is finished, and I have all the before and after pictures taken so stay tuned! lol

A night at the salon!

Last Saturday night after wrestling, we went to Blackfoot so Eric could change the brakes in our van. I was upstairs watching tv and I had noticed that the kids had gotten quiet so I thought I had better check on them. Eric's mom does hair in her basement and when I got down there, I found Grant trying to do Mackenzie's hair. I instantly ran upstairs to get my camera, afterall this is one of those Kodak moments and I thought for sure Eric wouldn't really approve of his basketball, sports playing son doing hair! Grandma Hamm came downstairs with me and thought she had at least show Grant how to do it to avoid an un wanted haircuts!

It's fun listening to kids talk when they think they know what they are doing!

What a good "Beauty rrr". He is sitting there with stopwatch in hand. Would hate for him to overdry her hair!

If they really knew what they were doing, I don't think she would be sitting on pillows in a HAIR SALON!

The final outcome! Grant's schedule is pretty open if anybody wouldl like to come get their hair curled (If you called that curled!) lol

But wait, there is more! When Eric was done changing the brakes, I left him with the kids and went to WalMart and this is what I came back to!

That's right! They some how talked him into getting his hair done!
What a good sport!

AND I THINK HE LIKED IT!
(What do you think?)

(Man I love this guy!)

Eric's final outcome! Not to bad for two 9 year olds! lol
(Look at how happy they are)

Next it's my turn. Who could I break their hearts and tell them NO WAY!

It always feels good to get your hair done!

Even if the final outcome is not what you were expecting!
(and NO I didn't have high expectations!)

Blake and Coleman didn't want any part of this game so they put themselves to bed. Afterall, it was MIDNIGHT! This was the night I was carrying a sleeping child out to the car and I fell off the sidewalk and sprained my ankle. It is STILL pretty dang sore!

The following video is what I saw when I first walked downstairs! That night Grant told me he thought it would be cool if he became a "Beauty rrr" when he grows up. And they kept saying, "We can't wait to do this the next time we come to Grandma's!"
(we haven't been back.....yet)
