Next comes the 4th grade invention convention. This was a hard project to come up with, and I will spare you all the details. All I will tell you is that I got 200% (100% for both kids). Grant's was the "Break Away Slam Can". Basically it's a pringles can that breaks in the middle of the can so your hand doesn't get stuck in the can when you try to get the chips out from the bottom of the can. (Notice Grant's smile. He had just gotten his braces off!!)
This is a picture of the actual invention we had to make
Mackenzie's was the "Sweet Tooth Topper". Here was her speach. "When you put topping on your ice cream, you don't always get a taste of your favorite topping on every bite. With the Sweet Tooth Topper, you simply fill the syringe with your choice of topping, scoop up some ice cream and squirt a little topping on your ice cream before every bite."
Here is her actual invention that we had to make. See....pretty simple. (coming up with these ideas was the hard part).

The next few pictures are of our MINI kitchen remodel. ok, all we did was add more cabnets and get a new counter top. lol
This is a picture of what I had to work with for the past year. After standing over that table preparing food, my back would KILL!
Then of course, what's a new kitchen without a new faucet. (we were forced to buy one. Once again, I will spare you the details.)
This is the new addition!! (notice the new DOUBLE oven!! I even got a new Bosch dishwasher!) Happy bday to ME!
This is when everything turned SOUR! Let's just say that we had to go 3 days without any water, and we had to replace our sewer lines. NOT FUN WITH A FAMILY OF 6! I guess that is what you get when you own an old home, and you start one project and that one project just gets bigger and bigger! But hey, we had some GREAT help and we are forever thankful for those who pitched in and helped us out!!
Throw in scouts, a flat tire in the rain when Eric was at work, 2 dance classes, TWO trips to Idaho Falls, and daycare and I guess I should add that all of these events happened within the past 7 days! And it looks like this is what my life is like until school gets out in ONE MONTH! (except the flat tire part...I HOPE!)
