I ♥ SURPRISES!!!

For Coleman's 8th birthday, he told me he wanted to go to Lava Hot Springs, and to Salt Lake. Well, lets be realistic.......kids don't alaways get what they want. However, I did invite all my family from Salt Lake to Lava for a SURPRISE party for him. And boy was he SURPRISED!!!!

Mackenzie, Walker and Byron eating grapes (Coleman only got out of the water when it was time for cake...imagine that!)

My Mom, brother Marshall and his wife Lauren

This cute little guy (Walker) needs to come home with me! He is soooo sweet!

Marsh, Lauren & Walker

The SUPER EASY cake I made!

The kids had to check it out & couldn't believe they could eat the ROCKS!! (the lady at the gate who looked through our cooler even made a comment on my awesome cake! lol)

The traditional picture that ERIC always makes ME take (hahahahahah)

On our way home, when we were just about in Pocatello, Eric commented on the Extreme Home Make Over they are filming in Pocatello. So I texted a friend for the address (thx Jen!) and made my hubby go find it (don't be fooled, he was just as excited to see this house as I was!) When this guy saw I had my camera out, he posed as we was walking down the street. Eric laughed at me and told me that he was prob only a volunteer, but he climbed into a BIG truck and drove away and I am pretty sure they don't allow the volunteers to operate the machinary!!!

As of Saturday evening, this is what the house was looking like. I could have stood there and watched all day! (week)

This is one of the designers. I don't know his name though!

They were moving doors inside the house one right after another. I would have LOVED to go inside to watch!

I zoomed in to try to take a look inside!!

We decided we had better get back on the road and on our way back to the car, look who we saw!!!!!

In this picture, my mouth looks silly, but Jillian and I were talking about Ed, ya know, like girlfriends do!!!

I had to get the kids involved in this celebrity action!! (pls keep in mind, we had been swimming ALL day)

Summer ~ 2010 Part 1

We have been EXTREMLY busy this summer....so enjoy these pictures!!

We took the kids swimming at Ross Park in Pocatello. It is a very fun pool!

The boys decided to stand on the corner to sell "Arco Rocks". And they actually made some money! Don't feel bad if you didn't get to buy any. I am sure you could find them in your own YARD!

Grant got his braces off!

And we have done a LOT of traveling!

We told the kids if they finish the BOM, we would take them on a special date. Mackenzie and Grant are reading it together, so while Mackenzie was at her dads, they figured out what they would read so they wouldn't get behind, and they would be at the same spot when she got back. I had to capture this moment!!

We have been playing ds's

We have gone bowling

and we rode some friends 4wheelers. (now Coleman thinks he is either going to get one for christmas, or he is going to save his money for one. He has even priced them at the Honda store here in town)

We had the opportunity to go to Ohio for Eric's work. While we were there,
we found a little beach somewhere in Ohio. When we found it, we didn't have our swimsuits, so we just got out and found someone to take a few pictures of us!

Then we went back to that beach, this time we had our suits. Gotta love the self shots! lol

We may have had our suits this time, but I grabbed the wrong towels in our hotel. I am sure we looked pretty silly!!!

While we were in Ohio, we went to Kirtland to vist some of the church history sites.
This is the Kirtland Temple

This is the bedroom that Joseph Smith was sleeping in w/ his wife and twins the night he was tarred and feathered

This is the porch that Joseph Smith stood on and preached the morning after he was tarred and feather.

I am glad I didn't throw this net away. Coleman was so proud of himself!

Watching the fireworks in Blackfoot

(Mackenzie did my hair for the fireworks)

My little sister had a baby, so we went to Salt Lake to meet the little guy.

Such a happy little family!!

We decided it was time to add another bathroom to our house. We were able to put a wall up to divide the old laundry room. So our house now has 2 FULL bathrooms!!! :)
