Pictures, Pictures and more Pictures!

To say the least, we have been BUSY at our house! First of all (ok, these events are in no specific order!) but basketball has started for the kindergarten and 1st graders. Blake was super excited and Coleman was a little nervous....However, not to brag or anything, but Coleman scored 6 out of the 8 points!! Everytime he made a basket, he would look up at me to get some praise and you better believe I was giving it to him!! And then Blake made that last basket and our team WON!!
Blake has the ball and is in the Orange

Coleman is in the yellow

Next comes the 4th grade invention convention. This was a hard project to come up with, and I will spare you all the details. All I will tell you is that I got 200% (100% for both kids). Grant's was the "Break Away Slam Can". Basically it's a pringles can that breaks in the middle of the can so your hand doesn't get stuck in the can when you try to get the chips out from the bottom of the can. (Notice Grant's smile. He had just gotten his braces off!!)

This is a picture of the actual invention we had to make

Mackenzie's was the "Sweet Tooth Topper". Here was her speach. "When you put topping on your ice cream, you don't always get a taste of your favorite topping on every bite. With the Sweet Tooth Topper, you simply fill the syringe with your choice of topping, scoop up some ice cream and squirt a little topping on your ice cream before every bite."

Here is her actual invention that we had to make. See....pretty simple. (coming up with these ideas was the hard part).

The next few pictures are of our MINI kitchen remodel. ok, all we did was add more cabnets and get a new counter top. lol

This is a picture of what I had to work with for the past year. After standing over that table preparing food, my back would KILL!

Then of course, what's a new kitchen without a new faucet. (we were forced to buy one. Once again, I will spare you the details.)

This is the new addition!! (notice the new DOUBLE oven!! I even got a new Bosch dishwasher!) Happy bday to ME!

This is when everything turned SOUR! Let's just say that we had to go 3 days without any water, and we had to replace our sewer lines. NOT FUN WITH A FAMILY OF 6! I guess that is what you get when you own an old home, and you start one project and that one project just gets bigger and bigger! But hey, we had some GREAT help and we are forever thankful for those who pitched in and helped us out!!

Throw in scouts, a flat tire in the rain when Eric was at work, 2 dance classes, TWO trips to Idaho Falls, and daycare and I guess I should add that all of these events happened within the past 7 days! And it looks like this is what my life is like until school gets out in ONE MONTH! (except the flat tire part...I HOPE!)

One year older and hopefully wiser too!!

Grant and Mackenzie's birthday's are both in March. In fact, they are exactly one week apart. I found two really cute cakes in a magazine so I thought I would give them a try.

If you know Grant, you would know that he LOVES to ride
his motorbike. So I thought this cake would be perfect for him.
And he LOVED it!!! :)

The cake I found for Mackenzie was a pink poodle. It turned out pretty cute. Some friends from town were picking up some pizza from Papa Murphy's (You all know Papa Murphy's......take and bake) for us from Idaho Falls. When they were about 20 minutes away, they called to tell me to heat the oven. So I did just that.

The only problem was that I had stuck the cake in the oven to "keep safe" until it was time to sing "happy birthday". You can see for yourself just how "safe" that cake really was! (It wasn't until our friends had pulled up to our house that I remembered about the cake.) Nobody even got to see the cake. I thought it would have been fun to have it be a surprise. I guess the surprise was that there was no cake for my baby girls 10th bday!!! I cried.....then I laughed.

So the next day, I got up and thought I would try it again. This time I decided to make a sunflower cake. My frosting was to thick so I was unable to frost the sides of the flower pedals, but it was cute and delicious!! So we invited our friends back over for cake and ice cream....take 2!

I ♥ these 4 boys!!

Happy 10th birthday Grant and Mackenzie! We are soooo blessed to have you in our family!!!!

If you come to visit us in Arco, we will take you bowling and you will get to experience this excitement first hand!! (WARNING: This kind of fun will require a couple excedrin!)

This last video is my favorite. She gets so excited and does a little dance, but if you watch the ball, she only knocks ONE pin!! (But it guess it was still more exciting then her usual gutter ball!) lol

(And yes, our 2 little 7 yr olds are sliding all over on the floor. We are working at that!)

Little Boys!

Does anyone know where all the little hair elastics went??

Hmmm, I will ask Coleman. MAYBE he will know!!

Dance class

I can't get this video to upload in my hotmail, so I downloaded on here so my family can get a little preview of Mackenzie's dance!!! (sorry about the RUDE mom's talking in the background. They should be KICKED OUT!) :/

Snow Shoeing

I took the kids snow shoeing at the Craters of the Moon last month with some friends, and we had a great time!!!! For some reason my pictures are uploading funny, so I can't write and explain what they are. BUT...... Since it's hard to tell which kid is which when they are all wearing snow gear, in the first picture, I put an arrow on my kids!! We walked around for a few hours, then had lunch and then we went back to the van and everyone was EXHAUSTED!!!

This last picture is 2 of the cute little girls I tend. I was talking on the phone and they both fell asleep!! (I was holding the little one, but obviously I put her down so I could take this cute picture!!) It was a good moment!!! ;)

Happy Birthday!!!!!!

Happy Birthday to the best husband EVER (and I can HONESTLY say that!)

We went bowling and then went to Grandma Hamm's house for a little party. He got bowling shoes for his bday but they came in the mail yesterday. (Those are the kind of gifts you get when you get old around here.) LOL
