The 4th of 4th

I saw this fun "tag" on friend's blog, and even though she didn't tag me, I'm going to do it anyway. Afterall, I don't really have anything else to share at the moment.

This is a picture of me this past August in Lake Powell with some friends of mine. Although there were many kids there and mine were not there (they were with their dad), I had a nice time. I am on the boat holding Landon (something I did a lot of). The weather was really nice. I love boating and soaking up the sun! :)

So here's what you do. Choose the 4th photo file on your computer and then the 4th picture in that file and tell about it. Kinda fun! :) Btw, I tag all of you! lol

Coleman riding his bike!

He is just so excited about it so I thought I would share it!!!

The other night I told Coleman that it was time to learn to ride a "big boy" bike. I was also really mean and told him I would not take the training wheels off HIS
bike until he learned. So he picked up Mackenzie's old bike and took off. Luckily I was sitting there with the camera so I could take some pictures. When Mackenzie was young (only 1 1/2 years ago), Curt and Dorisann had to bribe her with money to learn it the "big girl" way! She got all excited to get money and she got on the bike and literally took off riding! It was like she knew what she was doning (granted she was 7 years old!)
I was not prepared for her to do that so I didn't even have the camera with me! Needless to say, I now have 2 big kids riding big kid bikes!
I also found this picture of my sweet older sister, Jeannie trying to teach me ride my big girl banana seat bike back in 1982. I was 5 years old. It must have been on a Saturday because we both have curlers in our hair and we always had curly hair for Sundays! Also something that is kind of fun, is that all of these pictures were taken on the same street! I would like to say that all 3 of us became "big kids" on the same street, but when Mackenzie learned, we were at our friends house out in Tooele....(Thanks again Curt & Dorisann!)

Sugar & Spice Vs Puppy dog tails

(Does he think he is going rock climbing w/ spring and chain and then throwing the yellow ball and fly down w/ his one wing?)

Ok, so we all know that there are differences in boys and girls. Ya know....Sugar and spice and everything nice. That is what little girls are made of. And Snails and puppy dog tails. That is what little boys are made of. Well after Mackenzie took it upon herself to sort the laundry I put my book down (Breaking Dawn. Yeah, I know I am a little late at reading it, but I have been extremly busy) and started the wash. After going through all the pockets, this is what I found. That yellow ball is not gum or candy. It is a PAINT BALL!

(Is she getting all prettied up so that she can go get a scoop of ice cream w/ her Baskin Robins tasting spoon? That little tiny thing is the hook that goes on the end of a necklace. Why do you think she is saving that? Not only that, but the last time I can remember going to Baskin Robins is EARLY summer when they had 31 cent ice cream and I KNOW I have done laundry since then. hmmmmm)

First day of school

Well it's that time of year again. You know, the time where you spend all sorts of money on new clothes, shoes, backpacks, folders and everything else that is school related? Then you send them off to the first day of school and you take pictures and you say to yourself, "where has the time gone?" Well that is exactaly what has happened to me again!!! I can't believe I have a 3rd grader and I can't believe that Coleman is in Kindergarten! Seriously, where has the time gone? I am really starting to feel old! It felt weird to go over to the school after the bell rang to go home and to allow Coleman to get on the bus without me!! It was sad when I realized that it is time to allow both of my babies to take the next step into "growing up". I mean, I really want them to grow up but at the same time it is sad. Now if I could just get them to clean up after themselves. Doesn't that come with the growing up thing??????

The past 2 weeks!

The past 2 weeks have been soooo quiet at my house. My kids are with their dad in Oregon and won't be back until Tuesday, August 12th! I miss them soooooooo much! I have been playing with my nephews to try to fill that void. I have been trying to keep myself busy. I am in the middle of moving and I thought it would be such a great idea to pack the kids stuff while they were gone. I didn't realize how much stuff the have "collected". I spent a week in Lake Powell with some friends, last week I drove to Cortez, Colorado for the day for work and I have also been up to Idaho (that seems to be my favorite spot these days!) :) and in the morning I am headed for a vacation in Vegas! I am really glad my kids get to spend this time with their dad but I am going to be so glad to have them back home!
