Just another week!

We have had a very busy week (month). In the past week, Mackenzie and Coleman came home. My mom took these pictures of the kids getting out of the van after we picked them up from the airport, and look at their excitement!!!

Later that same day, we headed back to Idaho. We decided to stay the night in Blackfoot, and we took the kids to the "beach"
Then later in the week we went to a friends house here in Arco and swam in their pond.

My brother and sister and thier spouses came up on Friday, and we went to Lava Hot Springs on Saturday. We really had a great time!
Marshall, Lauren and Walker
Walker and his can of diet coke
Mackenzie being herself! Byron eating! (surprise, surprise!)
The new slides and the HOUR long line.
The adults. I guess the guys didn't get the memo I was taking a picture!
Cute little Walker
I let my brother in law borrow my flip flops so he could wear shoes and tube down the river at lava hot springs. This is what he brought back to me. Now exactly what am I going to do with 2 right shoes???

V ♥ A ♥ C ♥ A ♥ T ♥ I ♥ O ♥ N

Vacations are soooo nice and refreshing, but it’s always nice to come home! Eric and I went on a late “honeymoon” to California. In fact we celebrated our 6 month anniversary! We laid out at Huntington Beach for a few days, La Jolla Beach for a day, went to Disneyland, Sea World, and we even went to a Padres game and even though they lost BIG TIME, it was a blast!! We went to dinner with my friend, Heather and her family and we got to visit with my cousins and aunt and uncle. I had a dear friend suffer from a sudden stroke and she passed away while we were gone. She has 4 little kids and her youngest was only 14 days old. My heart is so sad, but I know she is in a better place and her family will be remembered in my prayers. Anyways, our plane flew in to SLC 1 hour before Mackenzie and Coleman’s plane landed, and we had a wonderful reunion (pictures coming soon)!!! We have really missed them and we are glad to have them home! Now it’s time to get back to real life. Eric has gone back to work, and the babies I tend have come back!! In fact, I tend an 18 month old and she only wants ME to even touch her and it gets a little draining. We went to the church for an activity and she was standing by the door and she saw us and she started crying and went running open armed to MACKENZIE! It was so stinkin cute (and shocking), and now they are great friends! What a relief for me!

Eric on the way to Cali resting up for lots of fun!!

The view from the pier at Huntington Beach. TONS of people!

Eric and I soaking up the sun!

Juliana and I at dinner on the pier
After dinner w/ Heather, Kaj and Juliana. It was windy on the pier and we were freezing....probably because we were sun burned!
Eric and I at Disneyland

Riding the race cars at Disneyland
We didn't want to wait in line to see Mickey and Minnie, so we took this picture during the parade.

Sea World time!
The world famous ShamuAt the dolphin show

We stopped to see the San Diego temple. No, Eric does not comb his hair that way, it was a little windy! Mackenzie thinks this picture is funny because you can see the hair on Eric's arm!! lol
Take me out to the ball game.......

The seals that have taken over the children's beach

Nothing like a hot dog at a ball game (before the game even starts!!) lol

Our 4th of July

We had a busy 4th of July weekend. Eric's brothers and their families came to Blackfoot from Boise and Virginia so we spent the weekend with them having FUN!! On Thursday we drove to Jackson, Wyoming (only 2 1/2 hours away) to go white water rafting down the snake river!! IT WAS A BLAST!!! Then on Friday some people went hiking and others (Eric and I) went shopping. Then Saturday we woke up and went floating down a canal that is in Blackfoot. That was fun and it took us a whole 5 minutes to drive there! :) Eric and I didn't have any of our kids so it was fun to just do whatever whenever!! But we missed all 4 of our kids and we know they would have LOVED to go with us on all of our weekend adventures. Maybe next time!

Eric and I before the snake river adventures!

Picture post of what we've been up to!

We sent Grant fishing with the (Baptist) Church only because it was FREE, and this is what he came home with. And a little sun burn!
We have had more then our fair share of rain and even hail! I took this picture looking out our kitchen window during one of our many hail storms!

Our last home improvement project!
Tiling the shower!
Backerboard (Kind of like sheet rock)I love how it looks!

Strawberries were so cheap, I couldn't resist!

This
Plus this
equals this!

I took a picture of myself eating a PB&J, but then after looking at the picture, I thought this picture would be a better one to post! ;)

Then I went outside and took inventory of our yard
We have a little pink

a little purple
a small amout of yellow

Some purple that smells so yummy!

A little burgandy

some more purple

And lots of white!
So our yard smells yummy, our strawberry jam is so delish, we are enjoying our shower, and we haven't had to water our lawn all month but with all of these blessings, we miss Mackenzie and Coleman more then anything and we want them to come home so our family is complete again!!! We love and miss you two!!! Only 4 more weeks! :)
