Meet my siblings.........

As I look through all of my blogs that I have blogged, I noticed that I have made this all about me and my 2 kids, so I thought I would introduce you to my siblings. Really, they are nice people!!!! lol The first one is my oldest sister Jeannie. She is the smart one of the group. Then you know me, Mackenzie and Coleman. The next picture is my younger brother Marshall. He is a helicopter pilot. His wife is about to have a baby!!! Then there is Ben. He is an officer at the State Prison and is about to be hired on for the Draper P.D. Last but not least is my youngest sister Lydia. She is has a 4 year old boy. She is engaged to be married sometime in the future!! Soooo, that is my family. I would also like to point out that none of us were together when these pictures were taken. I think that is what makes it funnier! We took these all on our very own!!!!!!!

Grrrrrrrrrr

I noticed that it has been well over a month since I have posted a blog, but that is because we have had a very busy month!!! My girlfriend Shelley and I planned a trip with all the kids (together we have 5) to Bear World in Idaho. Her kids were a little sick, and it was a little rainy, but we had a blast.....well at least I did cuz my kids were not sick!! We borrowed another friends SUV so we could all travel in the same car and we stayed with friends and family in Idaho (thanks Dustin & Jen!) It was a lot of fun. A few years ago Shelley and I took them to a wedding in California (we miss you Heather & Kaj) and while we were there we hit Sea World, Lego Land and the beach. Now I think we need to save our pennies for something like a cruise WITH OUT the kiddos! Anyone else want to come with (or babysit for that matter)?????

Just a little update on my kids with their chores. I really don't have anything bad to say! They are doing such an awesome job! I would like to say that their chores have become a daily habit, but I know if I do say that, things will change. I can honestly say that I know they don't enjoy it (good to know they are normal!) but they LOVE it when pay day comes around. We are going to go to Bear World for Memorial Day weekend, and they are saving every last dollar for our vacation! Maybe they will be willing to pitch in for gas! LOL

B*O*W*L*I*N*G

My oldest brother has been in town this last week and excluding my grandmother's funeral that we all attended, my siblings and I had an enjoyable time together! Something I discovered though, is that I need to get my kids out more! They were so excited to be at the bowling alley, they didn't know what to do with themselves!! They were so cute!!! And I think they even bowled better then some of my brother's and sister! It was fun! :)

Dancing the night away!

Mackenzie had her first competition for the year. She was in 3 different dances (they wear the same costume for 2 of them). They did really good! They scored 100 (1st place) on one and 98 (2nd place) in the other 2 dances. It was a lot of fun. This year I found it kind of hard to video record and take pictures at the same time. Next competition there will be more pictures!! I love it!!!!! (and so does she!)

She was baptized!!

(yes that is a picture of my ex!) I can not believe how times flies!! My baby girl was baptized last Saturday! It was a great day. Friends and family traveled from all over Utah. The weather was nice and everybody got along. After this special event, we all went out and had dinner together. It was all in all very nice. Congratulations Mackenzie!!!

A funny story.....

So I decided that it was time for my kids to get allowance so I made a job chart and got all excited to show and tell the kids all about it and tied it into a family home evening about tithing. They only have to do 2 chores a day Mon-Fri. I mean come on, when I was their age I was doing it all uphill, barefoot both ways!! lol

Well when I was done, I told them that we were going to start tonight. Mackenzie started crying and told me that she has is so over worked and that it isn't right to make her do this. Coleman told me he was going to call the police on me and then he asked if Kaycee and Konner (their friends) had to do these disgusting things.....you see, this week Coleman on bathroom duty.

I kind of laughed and encouraged them to continue. I started loading the dishwasher (yeah, that is not even one of their chores) and all of the sudden Mackenzie pulls out this chore list that her Uncle Tracy had made for his kids when she was staying the night at his house a few weeks ago. She told me she wanted to do those chores. Needless to say, she cleaned the WHOLE house with a SMILE!! ha ha!!

Poor over worked children!!!
